Steven Cookson
Steven Cookson is a writer and attempted journalist based in Howden. Originally from Chester, that Hollyoaks place in North-West of England, he started writing on a freelance basis in 2005 and in 2008 he graduated from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston with a degree in BA (Hons) Journalism. Although he trained primarily as a news journalist he now mainly writes reviews and entertainment articles.
Steven is a self-confessed addict of all things entertainment (TV, film, music, video games, books, etc) and is on a personal quest to find the best story ever written in any of these mediums. He also finds writing about himself in the third person like this to be a somewhat jarring experience and like apparently everyone else in the world has probably started to write a novel which he bangs on about all the time.
You've probably clicked on this profile after reading one of his articles and thought "what idiot wrote this?" only to discover there's nothing of interest and that he seems like a boring person who looks like a fat Daniel Bedingfield. It's amazing you managed to make it this far, haven't you got better things to do?
During his short and largely uneventful time as a writer and journalist Steven has lent his few talents to The Press and Journal, The Press Association, Pluto (the UCLan student newspaper), The Chester Chronicle, The Chester Standard, The Blackpool Gazette, realbuzz.com, lep.co.uk and Freeq magazine, but you've probably not heard of any of them.
